MANAGEMENT CHANGES AT ABP GARSTON

There have recently been two management changes at Associated British Ports' (ABP) Port of Garston.

Brian Wright has been promoted to the role of Port Operations Manager, with responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the port. Prior to his promotion, Brian was the port’s Administration and Safety Manager.He joined ABP in 1977 in the Port Traffic Department and has held a number of administrative positions within the Company.  

Roger Thomas has been promoted to the role of Commercial Manager.Previously Commercial Officer, Roger has held a number of different roles since joining ABP in 1983 as a clerk.In his new role, Roger will be responsible for the port’s sales and marketing activities.

Commenting on the new promotions, Port Manager Nick Ridehalgh, said: 

“Brian and Roger have considerable experience of the ports industry, and a wealth of local knowledge.Like me, they are totally committed to working with our customers to exploit fully Garston’s undoubted commercial potential. I look forward to working with them on further business developments at the port.”
