ABP’S HULL STEEL TERMINAL APPOINTS NEW MANAGER
Paul Holland, 36, has been named as the new Steel Terminal Manager at Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Hull Steel Terminal; his appointment will take effect from 1 October.

Currently employed as Terminal Superintendent, Mr Holland joined Hull Steel Terminal, located at ABP’s Port of Hull, in 1998.

Hull Steel Terminal, the UK’s first fully-enclosed steel-handling facility, was opened in 1997. The enclosed cargo-handling shed is capable of berthing vessels with draughts of up to 13.5 m. The terminal’s facilities also include 4,000 sq m of covered storage space and 6,000 sq m of open-air storage for non-weather-sensitive steel products.

Douglas Morrison, ABP Port Director, Hull & Goole, welcomed the new appointment:

“Paul possesses an enviable working knowledge of the terminal’s operations, having served as Terminal Superintendent here for the last five years. I have every confidence that he will successfully transfer his valuable skills to his new post and will continue to be a tremendous asset to the team.”
